A short drive from the park brings you to this traditional village of potters (community known as “Kumhaars”). Visitors can watch artisans at work, try pottery by themselves, and buy handmade earthenware — mugs, pots, lamps etc. A great cultural & souvenir-worthy stop.
Depending on the day, small markets (haats) are held in nearby villages like TURIA, KHAWASA, TELIA & KOHKA — where locals sell handicrafts, fresh produce, traditional items — giving you a slice of rural life and a chance to interact with villagers.
Many forest lodges and resorts around Pench offer extra — like cultural shows (folk/tribal dances — often by local tribal communities), traditional cuisine, stargazing (clear skies, away from city lights), and sometimes guided nature-talks or walks.
